Royal College Street
Camden

A Georgian terraced maisonette on the edge of the Camden Broadway Conservation Area.

An evolving project brief in response to the current home-working climate has uncovered the potential of the home as a place of family, play and work.

A full renovation of the interior will create a large open-plan room perfect for entertaining and provide a connection between living room, kitchen & dining room.

On the outside, a subtle subordination of the materials used plays down the significance of the roof when viewed from street level.

The design responds to the councils no-overlooking rules by placing the roof terrace at the centre of the plan, to benefit the privacy of the client and neighbours alike.

A rear extension generates a generous addition to the floor-space faceting the facade for windows to provide as much natural light as possible.
